Exuding an understated charisma both musically and in real life, Nice Birds brand own downbeat post-punk on the whole is something a little different amongst their peers. Preferring solid, melodic, melancholy tones instead of fast, blitzkrieg-esuqe noise, the threesome’s darkly approach with their sound sits well at home at MUZAI – it’s disenchanting but beautiful, dour yet bittersweet, shy yet full of tension.

It’s effectively been compared to a rip in the sea – all too calm until it grabs you and pulls you under with it’s discordant tones, ultimately overwhelming you until you’re helpless to swim out.
